Easy to learn October 3, 2008 steven S. thio (Goodyear, Arizona,USA) I received the camera Nikon D60 a day before my Bright angel hike to the Grand canyon. I have previously own a SLR however this is my first Digital SLR. Though I was still experimenting during my tedious hike, i was able to take beautiful pictures. I love the quality of the pictures, the features of the camera enable me to retouch my photo, especially while I am experimenting my camera. There is only one thing that I wasn't satisfied with the sale deal. The battery charger came in the voltage of 110V, that means that I may not be able to use when I am travelling to some places in Asia. I thought that all cameras charger should come with dual voltages. That means the camera can be use world wide I was not able to source the dual voltage charger here, can anyone help me with that. Rookies in D60
NIKON D60 EXCELLENT CAMERA October 2, 2008 ROBERT A. Webb I found the Nikon D60 to be an excellent camera and easy to use. I am only a pedestrian photographer but this camera is cool and has the Nikon click when you press the shutter release which is satisfying.
Awesome Camera Very Recomended! September 24, 2008 MODY Actually I won't be talking again about the specification because all of you already know it. The D60 is my first DSLR camera I'm actually wasn't into photography that much, I just bought it because i asked a friend i want to take a quality pictures for my family because i had a regular annoying Casio camera which makes dots/noise in the pictures and ruins the moment of the photo, Any way he told me do you want the same photography as you see in the magazines or billboards i said yes i actually thought that all those pictures was like impossible and you need like i dunno graphic designer to do the work for you to make it so clean and sharp as they look and MAN I WAS WRONG.. 1st day i bought this camera i took my 1st shot and i was like WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW i never had a DSLR camera before i hate taking pictures but with this camera the first week i took over 13,000 pictures can you believe that awesome camera awesome quality and the help menu tought me a lot about photography i didn't even know anything about photography like what is ISO, Exposure etc.. it kept explaining everything in the menu and I'm here now buying the new D90 waiting for this babe to arrive. Nikon makes the photography impossible to resist everyone this camera is worth every penny now i watch videos on You Tube and trying to learn and I'm buying bunch of lenses which costs me over $5000, it's hilarious actually, but i loved photography i keep taking shots for everything and i have like 700 GB hard disk full of pictures shot with my D60. Please If you can afford it buy any lens than the one included the recommended is the 18-200 Nikon lens much better and have a very deep zoom and buy the 50 mm Nikon lens it's awesome for portraits shots and very very sharp. I can't believe my self talking about lenses and cameras but it's worth it i loved and you'll love it.. Good Luck with your D60 ;) P.S. I uploaded some images i shot with my D60 you'll find it in the customer images section but beware that pictures quality are much better than what you see here in amazon because amazon crops and compress the picture very bad which ruin everything in the picture. Bye...
Just OK camera September 19, 2008 Walt_M (Dallas, TX) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had high expectations but the camera is just a so so upgrade without many significant improvements. I had hoped for more. It is easy to use and very dependable bu if you are looking for advance features this camera does not deliver.
Nikon D60 is an excellent camera September 16, 2008 Thomas R. Sweet (Tampa, FL USA) Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens My main camera is a Nikon D2Xs, and I keep a Nikon D70s as a backup. I also use a Mamiya 645 Pro TL and Zenza Bronica ETRS II medium format cameras for special situations. In the past, I've used a Canon EOS 850 and many other cameras. Nikon is my professional choice! I bought my son-in-law a Nikon D60 since he's interested in photography. I put it through its paces, and confirmed this is an excellent camera that can handle even the most demanding jobs. The high ISO with low (no) noise is very nice, allowing some great hand held shots with either deep depth of field or relatively high shutter speed. I like so many of the features of this camera, I may carry one when not lugging my huge D2Xs for assignments. This camera is small and light, but packs a lot of professional level features. Highly recommended.
