Love having this cord July 18, 2005 Emily Bronte (CA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although I do not use the camera to transfer my files at this time, I do use it to view images and video clips on TV, as well as copy them onto DVDs. Using this adapter means I don't have to rely on battery power to do so, which would run the risk of data loss should the battery give out. I'm giving the unit 3.5 instead of 5 stars, because it doesn't seem to be made as sturdily as most adapters are. Additionally and as an FYI, the AC-4 adapter I received does not look like the one in Amazon photo (maybe it's a newer version?)...it is lacking the two built in shields, having one TDK ferrite snap bead instead. Also, the metal prongs that go into the wall outlet protrude from the end of the unit, not from its backside. It's 4.5 inches from the tip of the metal prongs to the other side of the adapter where the cord can safely start to bend. That's QUITE a bit of clearance that's needed, so you will need to use a well-exposed wall outlet to use this adapter without an extension cord of some sort. Still, I'm pleased as punch to have it.
What's the purpose? December 10, 2004 W. Weider (Appleton, WI United States) 12 out of 15 found this review helpful
The AC-4 willl power your Dimage camera, BUT IT WILL NOT CHARGE THE BATTERY! So, if you take all of your picture within 5 feet of an outlet than this is the product for you. If, say, you go outdoors on occasion you will need the BC-300 charger.
gotta get one November 14, 2002 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
Great adapter. Great camera. What more can I say. Could have come with the camera though.
