Love this bag November 13, 2008 Rebecca Stillwell (Morgantown, WV) My husband and I bought this bag to take on a road trip through New England. The bag is spacious enough to hold everything we needed to take on each sightseeing stop. The bag is comfortable to wear over your shoulder, even when hiking. I especially love that the large compartment holds the camera with the lens still attached, for easy and quick retrieval. We are very happy with our purchase.
Great bag; lousy inserts. September 16, 2008 D. Bennett (Los Angeles, CA USA) I won't get into the belt fastener debate here (seems way too easy to pick up a new strap if one is having trouble). I am using the bag with a Pentax K200D, which is a bit larger than the Nikon. I stuffed the bag with now 4 different lenses (a 28MM, a 50MM, a 18-55MM zoom, and a 50-200 zoom). It's all quite tight, but you have to ditch the floppy panels they give you and use some other material to support the gear. I'm using some rigid packing foam, which 1) keeps the bag fairly light and 2) keeps all of the lenses secure. The surface that touches the back of the camera (near the display) is not nearly as soft or smooth as it could be (there's even a metal zipper). I have a large lens cleaning cloth I'm keeping over the back end of the camera to keep the display scratch free. I think I could easily add a spare set of batteries and a spare memory card too, but couldn't fit a flash with all four lenses. One feature I like is that the bag has a place to anchor it down with your belt (very useful when touring the crowded streets of Saigon!). And it's awfully cute too!
Good but small September 10, 2008 D. Lantz (Bend, OR USA) This is a very well made camera bag. However, it is a little small for my Canon 40D. I will use it for short or quick photo trips. It may be fine for a smaller camera, but I have no room for extra lenses, etc.
Great Camera Bag - Really. No strap issues here.... August 13, 2008 Zif - Monster (Big "D") 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this bag for my Canon 20D. I currently have a 17-50mm zoom on the camera. I store a 70-300mm with room for another lens in the other 2 spaces in the bag. (I think there is a prime lens in the future.) I also have 4x 67mmm filters and my battery charger in the front pocket. I keep cables in the top zipper and the quick reference in the back pocket. Extra CF cards in the inside top area. The camera has good padding all round. My camera bag has dropped from a table and my shoulder(kids playing) w/ no issues to equipment. I have traveled to Malaysia and Taiwan multiple times over the last 3 years. If you have been in Malaysia they have 2 seasons rainy and non-rainy. No issues when the bag gets wet. There are day hiking trip in Southern California and Texas. I have hit the East coast of the US (Philly, Washington DC, and New York City) I have yet to regret getting this bag. I have found that if you load this bag w/ a camera/lens only - that you configure the bag to hold the camera either side ways or body down. Otherwise the bag will get a little top heavy and will want to roll forward. No issues w/ the strap - ever. Actually - it is really well built. So is the bag. Overall - very nice functional bag. This bag is not your do everything/carry everything bag.... so don't expect it to be. For a weekend warrior photo nut, amateurs, take SOME of your gear($$$) for the weekend anywhere in the world....this is your bag. (This bag will not handle any of the big lens.)
A great field bag. August 9, 2008 A. J. Landon (Mound, MN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a field researcher with a university and chose the Lowepro Nova 2 AW to transport my camera safely around the field sites. I used to bring out my Pelican case but was tired of the weight. The Nova is a great replacement for a hard case if you have two lenses, I carry my 75-300mm lens as well as battery packs and the camera itself. The bag can be cavernous if packed correctly. Certainly a worth while purchase.
