Service is among the worst I have seen October 6, 2008 T. Stern I had this monitor 6 months and it went dead. I called Samsung and they said no problem it is within my 3 year warranty they will send a replacement. Nearly a month later, I still don't have one. I have been getting the total run around from Samsung. They keep telling me they are backlogged, just what I want to hear when being without the use of my computer for a month. I have called numerous times and they promised a supervisor would call me back each time, but none ever does. I have never seen customer service this bad, the monitor was great when it worked, but after this experience, I will never buy another Samsung product
VERY IMPRESSED September 21, 2008 K. Tsoukaris (NY) JUMPING FROM A JUMBO CRT TO THIS FLAT WIDE SCREEN OF COURSE WAS 1 LIGHT YEAR OF PROGRESS BUT THE QUALITY OF THIS MONITOR HAS ALLOWED ME TO ACCOMPLISH MORE TASKS THAN BEFORE AND IT CONSUMES LESS SPACE THAN MY LAST MONITOR. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT AND YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF ANALOG OR DIGITAL. THE PRICE ROCKS OUT!! BUY IT FROM AMAZON THOUGH!!!!!!
Worked great.. for a while September 12, 2008 David J. Elfering (Omaha, NE USA) Others have written extensively about the technical aspects of this monitor. I bought mine for the office back in the fall of 2007. Now, 10 months later the screen is flickering and has more red specks than a first grader with chicken pox. The brightness and color of the monitor were great right up until it went south on my with less than a year of use. Is quality control a thing of the past? While I enjoyed the monitor while it worked I will be shopping for a brand with better quality while I try to get this unit replaced.
Best 24 inch monitor @ the best price! September 11, 2008 T. Edler (Florida, USA) Got mine from Costco for $379. It is a great LCD screen. Much better than my Dell 20" UltraSharp! None of the problems reported below occur with me. Samsung is the #1 LCD screen maker, my TV is a Samsung LCD too. No bad pixels, flickering or any of that...and you can't beat the price!

I had the 245bw for less than a year before it stopped receiving a signal. Went through troubleshooting with tech support; Tried new cables, tried different ports, tried different machines with different OSs. Nope. Samsung shipped me a RECONDITIONED replacement that didn't work from the start. Don't get me started about my second call to tech support, I don't have room and this is a family web site. Samsung shipped me a RECONDITIONED replacement, again. This will be my third 245bw in a year and I've been w/o my primary monitor for over a month. F SAMSUNG **UPDATE*** 0 for 3 For my second replacement or third 245bw in a year, Samsung sent me a replacement that is unacceptable by my standards. Call me loco, but if I send in a monitor that I paid over $500 for that is less than a year old and Samsung replaces it with a monitor that doesn't work at all, for the third monitor, I would expect a little effort to make sure THIS ONE was good as new. Instead of a good as new monitor, Samsung sent me a monitor that has a different problem, high washout, and it seriously looks like it may have been attacked by a bobcat once in it's long life. Google for yourself. This monitor has a lot of problems and apparently Samsung "customer service" has a few of their own. F Samsung
