Truthfully, I think it's better than the original September 7, 2008

I have a Powerbook G4 that's about eight years old (that's 105 in laptop years). Its power supply was failing, so I went in search of a new one that wouldn't come with an Apple store price tag. This power supply seems more solid and better made than the original (and it doesn't make that crackling sound when I plug it in, either). If you buy it (and I'd recommend it) be sure you remove the plastic wrapper around the power supply before it gets hot and shrinks the wrapper and makes it stick like there's no tomorrow. Guess how I figured that out!
