This game had a lot of potential, the graphics were good and the concept was good. The implementation leaves something to be desired. It's too monotonous inside the individual stages. I would have rathered 3 stages with more depth than more shallow ones.

Do your homework before you buy any product from Electronic Arts. Profit is certainly an admirable goal for any business, but when profit becomes the ONLY consideration disaster must follow eventually. EA has long had a bad reputation among core gamers. Perhaps those of you who are not "core gamers" don't think this matters. Sooner or later, the main stream must either become core gamers themselves or fall away from the form of entertainment. As the former group moves more towards the core, they will expect more from their games. EA is moving to homogenize the media in an effort to appease the widest market. Spore is an example of this. DRM punishes the customers who actually pay for the game. Once you get past that, then you are left with an uninteresting and shallow game that was only ever intended to be a gateway to a new cash cow for EA. They will release dozens of expansion packs to fill out this shell of a game. Two years, a dozen expansion packs, and $200 from now, this game will be what it should have been at release. If you must play this game, wait those two years and get the value for your dollar that you deserve. And never, NEVER buy anything from EA before you do some homework on the product.

I have been really looking forward to playing this game for a long time, but then I went to buy it. As soon as I found out how much malicious software it contained through its DRM I decided that there is no way I'm infecting my semi uber pc with maxis's illegal DRM bugs (and yes the drm is illegal because it is not fully disclosed in the eula). I don't believe in playing pirated games, so even though maxis is treating me like a criminal and tempting me to become one I guess I will have to skip this game I REALLY wanted to play. It also sucks that you can't initialy play it without an internet connection. We keep a separate computer for our kid to use that is not connected to the internet for their protection, but I can't put this game on it due to the DRM registration. Would have been a fun game for me and a great game to teach my kid strategy gaming, but I guess I'll use the money I saved from not buying this game to pay for the next several months of everquest 2.

The game is engaging but too simple. The controls lack depth and there is a limitation on the way you can do things. Also the game is linear in the way it approaches gameplay. Overall it is very addicting.

This is pretty simple. There is nothing wrong with the game itself, it is incredibly fun. I bought the game and was a little worried about the installation procedure, as there were tons of negative ratings for this item. There is nothing wrong with the installation procedure, some people are just very impatient. Just don't expect to pop the game in and play right away.
