I disagree with everyone March 25, 2007 K. Lam (Cincinnati, OH) 29 out of 39 found this review helpful
I was looking for a Windows Vista compatible anti virus/firewall solution. A lot of applications are not compatible, so it really came down to Norton 360, a McAfee solution or a free application. Here is why I like Norton 360: 1. Very easy to install. Installed on 3 computers with no issues with activating the product with my key. 2. Very fast scan times (I have 3 HDs with over 80% filled). 3. Extremely low use of system resources (RAM). 4. Very intuitive interface, I had no trouble configuring the product. I don't know what people are talking about with PayPal. I can access the site trouble-free. Anyways, I hopes this helps. I'll be happy to answer any questions, just send me a message on Amazon.com [...]

I have windows vista Home Premium and I tryed four diferent antivirus from diferent companies and no one works well I have programs conflicts and lot of errors on my Laptop, and then I bought Norton 360 and work Wonderful, this norton really protects your computer and detected malicious internet pages is a good security for my lap and my privacy. I'm happy and my Laptop too now works just like when I boght it 2 mounths a go *** update after a year using Norton 360**** I decide to try a diferent antivirus uninstalled it which was not easy because is soo slow, after that my machine start to work faster, after I remove the Norton I couldn't belive who fast my laptop is now. I install the Nod 32 and then the Eset Smart Security 3.0.621.0 both are great. No more crashing, no more slow laptop now I have computer power with an antivirus that does what its supposed to do, monitor your system, not kill it or slowet So good bye Norton FOREVER , Hello Nod32. Try the free trial and you will love it. I highly highly recommend NOd32

I have just finished installing Norton 360 on my wife's and my own Dell Dimension machines running XP. Both installs went without a hitch. I believe the "trick" is to un-install all previous versions before putting in the new. Norton even has a downloadable file to do it for you (Norton Removal Tool). It does take awhile but it is doing it's job throughly and well. You don't have to sit there the whole time. The program deserves its name 360. It appears to be every thing one needs in one package. It also includes on-line automated backup. If you already backup regularly (raise your hands) then you don't need this. I have longed for it. Run out and get this goodie!!!!!
I love it January 19, 2008 William C. Mortley (Arizona) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Wow! I can't believe everyone is having so many issues with this program. I've always went with Norton products since back in the days of MS Dos 6.0 and MS Windows 3.1. I had a 33 mhz computer back then. They had a program called Norton Utilities for Dos back then and their competition was Pctools. I just asked my wife (she does a lot of Ebay purchases) if she had any problems using PayPal and she said no. Computers are like that one will have absolutely no problems and another will have all kinds of issues. But honestly I'm on my forth computer now and rarely have I had any problems. They had a program called Go Back I didn't like with Norton System Works, I don't know if they are still using it but it caused problems with me so I uninstalled just that one program and that problem went away. Anyway with my new computer here it came with Micro Trend Anti Virus and being a new computer I didn't want to upset the apple cart by changing things so I didn't install Norton 360 even though my subscription was still good until March 08. I started having problems going into Control Panel. The page would start coming up then disappear back to my desktop. So I did a Virus check and used Spy Sweeper and found nothing, which is a good thing. But I know there is a problem still so I went with the my tried and true program that has always found the problems......Norton. I use to use System Works but for the money and the wide range of tools that come with 360, you just can't beat it. It found 13,000 temporary Internet files and deleted them. I guess I lacked a little house keeping. They must have been sucking up a lot of memory because after that I was able to go into the Control Panel. Maybe there was other stuff it fixed too I don't know. But my wife agrees with me, my internet is way way faster now. I mean it blinks, there is no waiting. I do have Cox Cable for my Internet but it's even faster now. Norton wanted me to give them a survey and it asked me for any suggestions I might give to help with their product. I told them to go to amazon.com and check out the reviews on their products and to listen to them. I hope they do just that but I know how things usually work in the real world but who knows maybe they will. One more thing, go to http://www.symantec.com/norton/downloads/index.jsp and you can download Norton 360, their Anti Virus, System Works, almost any of their stuff for a 15 day free trial. That is full version programs with automatic updates, the whole thing, enjoy!
Works really well - very happy July 16, 2007 Mochi Mochi (Los Angeles) 10 out of 14 found this review helpful
I installed Norton 360 on my IBM thinkpad. I ran update to get all the most recent updates and upgrades. So far I am very heppy and I've been using it for several months. I'm an advanced user, who prefers to work on a Mac, but needs to work on a PC for business. I have had no performance issues as mentioned by some users. Web browsing, file transfers, backup, all has worked fine. As one who appreciates simplicity this product really makes the PC experience better. It has been a simple set it and forget it. I don't have a lot of noisy alerts. I espeically like the automatic feature that runs scans , defrags and tunes up my pc when I am not using it. I wish Symantec would make this product available for the Mac for that feature alone.
