Very disappointing software. First, this should be marketed as a DVD, not computer software -- it's basically a collection of videos. There's very little interaction, which is what makes educational software interesting to kids. The quizzes could just as easily be on a website or in a booklet.

Further, most of the videos are depressing. There's sad organ-like music playing, and a narrator who talks like he's at a funeral. The narrator then essentially gives a dry lecture on a particular subject, as pictures and some text, and occasionally some video, are shown. There are a handful of videos ("A Closer Look at _____") at the end that are done in a more lively manner, representing only about 5 of the 85 videos.

The collection represents a hodge podge of subjects, somewhat incoherent.

The software's box is totally misleading -- "Revolutionary multi-sensory technology" -- c'mon, its video with audio, and a couple questions here and there.

This software is a good way to teach your child that learning is a rather dull and tedious process, like taking medicine. The software is basically a dry school setting in a box you can take home. The folks who made this software seem unaware of the potential of computer software to excite kids about learning.

I bought this at an Apple store as it was the only middle-school education software I could find there; I'm disappointed that they carry this product -- they usually carry products that are much better.

This was a waste of $30. The software will sit on our shelf until I just throw it away (I would never dream of giving it to anyone else). I'll continue to look for interesting truly interactive fun educational software for a middle schooler.

This software covers a lot of material and
is a nice way to keep your childs brain
working over the summer months. I gave
it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is
not as "fun" as some other learning
programs, but more "school like".
