In-depth Story and Lots of Gameplay September 16, 2008 Bess Marvin The latest installment in the Sherlock Holmes software mysteries does not fail to disappoint! This game is very long and in-depth, and provides quite a bit of gameplay. The puzzles are clever, and you're never left wondering what to do next. It is definitely challenging in parts, but the curiosity of what will happen next keeps you moving along. I highly recommend this to any Sherlock Holmes fan. This was wonderfully different from the previous release, "Awakened," which was very dark and gruesome in parts.
a drag August 2, 2008 Lisette A. Lumsden 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got about half way through. I really enjoyed it up until this one point. I had to keep figuring out the same kind of thing over and over again. The fun was totally drained out of the game at this point. It was a burden. I never finished it. I have these games for my enjoyment...not for tedious tasks that drag on and on and on and on. I will read all the reviews of the next Sherlock Holmes before I buy another one. This game became SO bad that I did not finish it.
Point and click game for the most part. July 31, 2008 Bone (Atchison, Kansas United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Some of the puzzles are quite obscure in their reasoning. Sheer luck, rather than Sherlock is required in many scenerios.
Long, boring and difficult July 30, 2008 Marji (N.C.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very long and tedious game. Your need a walkthrough to know what to do. Mouse control spins around. Graphics are the only good thing.I'm probably not even going to finish the game as it is so boring. Not many puzzles either.
Not the typical point-n-click story game July 20, 2008 Yao (California, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sherlock Holmes Nemesis features a completely new game engine that is not the usual Point-n-Click game. Instead of playing from a third person viewpoint, it is more like a First person shooting game. To others, this may be a bonus, but for me, who hates first person shooting games (they make me dizzy), I found it very disappointing. On the plus side, this game presents great graphical details. The background music is quite pleasant and suited to the intrigue nature of the game. As mentioned by other reviewers, most of the puzzles are too complex and sometimes involves pixel hunting. Not very rewarding.
