I just started using Pandora online and serendipitously discovered Keith Arenson. Loved it. Googled on Amazon only to discover...well, you know -- not availiable. However I'll be keeping my eyes peeled as I really liked his playing. P.S. I just realized what I was listening to was a cut called In Late September from the Stelling Banjo Anthology. I'm off to look that one up.

the "new and used from $39.99" price listed on Amazon, but you can find it cheaper elsewhere. Keith Arneson is a master of the clawhammer banjo style. If anyone has ever heard more skilled (or even close) playing than this, please leave me a comment with the artist's name. I've been unable to find other recordings by him. It reminds me of the playing of Henry Sapoznik, Ken Perlman and Tommy Thompson. Brilliant stuff!
Keith's playing on this recording is all solo. It is so good that you begin to appreciate that you can focus on his artistry alone. I would, however love to hear him play with a group of old time musicians. If you like old time banjo playing and can find this CD, buy it!
