Big stuff November 3, 2008 Richard C. Garrison (Boston) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Although this book may get a bit too far "out there" towards the end for some people, the essential tenets are so profoundly true and helpful, I'd say it is a must read for anyone. The power is all in the now.
The Power of Now November 2, 2008 Lorrie P. This book has been around awhile and for good reason. It talks about living in the here and now to find contentment- a simple but effective strategy in today's world.
Excellent! October 30, 2008 J. Kalman (Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
...the present moment is all you ever have. "There is never a time when your life is not this moment." This passage from the book, hit me like a ton of bricks. Why am I worrying about the past and the future? I'm just putting myself through a type of "hell" on earth. My problems are not occurring right now, they either already happened or I'm projecting a problem into the future, I can not change them now! Why bother worrying? Why not find peace and happiness in my own present moment. This is an excellent book. I found it at the perfect time after reading a marriage self-help book that was based on self-differentiation. This book is helping me "hold onto my true self" not my mind made self, but the self that is underneath all emotional baggage. I highly recommend this book!
The best book ever written October 24, 2008 Patrice Page Seyhun 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is better than I thought it would be. I had read "A New Earth" previously so I expected this to not be much different. But it was different! And totally excellent. I want to sleep with this book!
Too much double talk October 24, 2008 Marybeth Munroe 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
I found this book to be beyond wordy. THe atempt to be profound seem to be the message not the words themslves. Many others have said the same without so much fluff.
