3 out of 5 stars Beware of version- does not work completely with iPod Touch   September 21, 2008
afree (Dallas, TX United States)
I have an iPod touch and it plays fine though this unit EXCEPT that the remote does not function properly: up and down scrolling always jumps two items. I returned it and bought the current model, the Pure-Fi Anywhere ll which does work perfectly and comes with the appropriate sized insert for the iPod touch (and iPhone)- at least the first generation ones. This unit, the Pure-Fi Anywhere, did not. Both units were sonically acceptable for their size and purpose.

4 out of 5 stars Good overall. Works with iPhone. Lacks volume.   September 18, 2008
Bradley Wettersten (Chicago, IL)
Volume could be stronger although sound quality does not distort all the way up to max volume. Sound expand button makes many songs echo. Sounds like they are being played in a tunnel. Remote works well with iPhone's menu. Remote range is over 25 ft. Case everything including power cord and remote. Great deal for 70 bucks.

4 out of 5 stars Another Great Logitech Product   September 18, 2008
Gene Bates (California)
Logitech has a long running reputation for quality made innovative products and the Pure-Fi Anywhere is no different. I haven't compared it side by side to the MM50, which it replaces. I have both and I can tell you from listening to them independently the Pure-Fi Anywhere has greater clarity at high volume levels and better bass response.

The quality and clarity of the sound is enough to warrant the purchase. The portability, carrying case and built-in rechargeable battery are bonuses. The case for the Pure-Fi Anywhere has enough room for the unit as well as the adapter, which the MM50 didn't, and two slots as well. One for an iPod and the other for the remote.

Quality of sound, great portability, a remote control and a rechargeable battery were the reasons I chose this over similar offerings from other manufacturers. 10-hour battery life is claimed; however, in my experience expect less than half of that if it is used at constant higher volume levels.

5 out of 5 stars BUY THESE SPEAKERS!!!   September 16, 2008
Jennifer Ashcroft (Omaha, NE)
I researched a million things before buying this product. It was a little more than what I wanted to spend but sooo worth the money. I never write reviews but I had to on this. It is INCREDIBLE!! The actual speakers charge tehmselves so you can unplug the speakers and take them outside even without a plug. They are sturdy unlike a lot of other cheap ones I have seen. I am so glad that I spent the money. If you are even considering a set of speakers - look noi further. I am a very picky person - even more so when it comes to my music. They are amazing!!

4 out of 5 stars Great for price, one drawback   September 15, 2008
J. Lewis (Dallas, Texas, USA)
I got one of these on amazon for my dad and then saw the price at Sam's Wholesale. $76 at sam's! I bought another a couple days ago to be the more mobile version of our pure-fi elite, which is a powered system with no battery with MUCH better sound than the others I've listened to.

Only con with this one is the buttons on the actual unit are VERY hard to press. Using the remote is much easier. Range is a little lacking (about 15 feet) but works great.
