Excellent Solution for my Desktop's Wireless Access August 29, 2008 M. Quinlan (New York, NY) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product works great and was super easy to setup, took me about 2 minutes and i was online! I'm using it at my apartment for my Dell Inspiron desktop running Windows Vista OS. I have it in my bedroom, and our wireless router is a good 30 feet away in the dining room (blocked by several walls). The connection is excellent and I have had no issues at all...highly recommended !
NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. August 22, 2008 Judith A. Neilson 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Unfortunately, this did not accomplish what I hoped it would and that was to give my husband's laptop more speed. Got this to replace the linksey's network card which only had 11 mbps. Was told the USB would get up to 54mbps but mostly will only show 11-18 and mostly low to very low connection.

Worked without a glitch. Was able to connect my Mac Book, Windows XP Laptop and Windows desktop without any problems. It's 2 months since I had it and not even a single issue. Worth the price. Great product from Linksys.
BEWARE July 13, 2008 Hothead (Los Angeles, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just bought this to work with Linksys G router (which I bought to replace a constantly failing Belkin N1 router). The Linksys router was easy to set up - works well with a wired Vista desktop and a wireless XP laptop. However, when I connected this Linksys USB adapter to a desktop in our garage, I get a 'Limited or no connectivity' message. Too far away, you say? Well, I have almost direct line of site to the router and this desktop had at least SOME connectivity with the Belkin N1 (the worst router out there right now). My Dell laptop gets 'Excellent' signal strength (at 54 mbps on G) when placed next to this desktop. The desktop's 'signal' is 11 mbps and when I actually try to connect to the router or Internet, it cannot do so at all. When you go to the Linksys support page for this product, you san see several users who are having the same problem and getting no help from Linksys. Unless you plan to put your wireless USB adapter within 24 inches of the router, don't get this adapter. It's weak.
The Linksys USB Range Plus significantly extends my wireless range June 29, 2008 Fred P (Huntington, WV) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I replaced an older Linksys wireless router (WRT54GS) and an older USB wireless adapter with the Linksys USB range-plus adapter and the Linksys's WRT100 wirless router and it has made a huge difference Linksys WUSB54GC Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter
