This has been the best purchase of the year for me! I really enjoy the kindle and all that I can do with it. I am an avid reader and the ability to carry around a number of books at a time is great for me! I like the features and after getting used to the controls I find reading to be very simple and fun!

The Kindle has changed my life in several ways. The first is that I'm reading more books because I don't have to worry about a trip to the book store, availability, or delivery (in the case of online shopping). I simply pick a book based on what I've heard, preview a chapter or two, buy it (if I like it), and begin reading it almost instantly. The second is that I now tend to read when I happen to be eating a meal by myself. Formerly, I'd watch something on the television or just hustle through the meal to get back to what I was doing. The Kindle is physically more convenient than a book, so now I can orient to read while I feed myself and click through the pages with an occasional flick of the wrist. Third is that my wife and I argue more ... mostly over who gets to use the Kindle. This will probably be fixed in the near future, but if you're starting with a single device purchase in a dual-reader household, beware!
There are more great things about the device, but a laundry list isn't really good for a review. What is important is to note that the Kindle is easy to use, physically convenient, has great battery life, and sports a strong supporting library. I use mine every day (when I can pry it out of my wife's hands) and it has held up fantastically. I strongly recommend the product to anyone that loves reading and is trying to cut back on their driving.
